Second Hand at Tante Isabel

I am back to my Saturday morning photo walk routine. Probably not all Saturdays, cabin life is also an important part of my life, but as often as possible.

Today I wanted to revisit some of the places I have posted about before, among them Tante Isabel, a tiny little second hand store, filled to the brim with bric a bracs. Some treasures, a lot of stuff I would never dream of buying.

Treasures or not, I do love the charm of the little shop.
And handy for all the new students who are invading the city these days :-)

Yes! Tante Isabel did not disappear :-)

I was out on my weekly Saturday morning photo and coffe walk yesterday. On my way back to my car I was in for a very nice surprise. Tante Isabel did not close after all. Only for a short time for renovation :-)

Everything is changing, but why these shops?

 

Ony a few days after I posted about Tante Isabel, I am passing the shop again, and what do I find? The shop windows are empty, with only a sign telling about a flea market. Tante Isabel is no more. The house will be totally renovated, and I don't know if the shop will be back.....

 

Not far away is another closing sign in the windows of Pentik, a Finish giftstore where I collect my dinner china......I have been hoping to keep on collecting for years still.....

 

The city is changing, going on, just like life. Some changes are for the good, some are not. Why is it that I always want anything to be like it always was?

 

I am glad I started this blog. At least I can keep my memories here.

I don't often visit second hand shops, but when I do I always find a treasure or two.

 

Tante Isabel, a tiny little shop down in Fjordgata (The Fjord Street), filled to the brim and beyond, is a favorite if I am hit by the second hand bug.
