In a small, hidden veit in Trondheim you find a small hidden shop, Hattemakeren, The Modist. This shop has been there for as long as I can remember.
I love to pass the shop to look in the windows, but I have been inside only on a couple of occations.
I don't wear hats.........
.....but I love to dream of a time when they were worn....every day.
I love this, to be able to walk the cobbled lanes with my eyes and take a peak into life in Norway that you bring your readers.
Hats seem to be a big thing for some people who are more into fashion, I wear a garden hat when outside in the garden or cutting grass but that's about it.

We used to wear hats to weddings in Scotland but now I only wear them when it's freezing out. I don't think I've ever seen a shop dedicated to hats alone anywhere. What a treat!

A hat shop...that is wonderful! I just love hat, and think it sad the custom and fashion of wearing hats has gone out. That shop looks beautiful...Happy Day, Britt-Arnhild :o)

We have a hat shop in our town which seems to do well...they sell all sorts of hats in straw for sun shade, wool for driving, washable for hikers, hats for cowboys...but not elegant hats for weddings, the Kentucky Derby, Ascot, or garden parties.

What a tre4at to follow along in your foot steps on your morning walks. I wish the custom of wearing hats would return. At least here in Portland, many crafty residents are making and wearing lovely knitted hats.
