Sometimes it seems necessary to be deprived of some things to realize the real value and importance they have in our lives.
I lived for 5 years at a large farm house surrounded by lawns, trees, birds and plants but it was a time when I could only see the hard work that everything demanded on me.
Then I moved to town and went to live in a kind of basement house, very small, dark and no window to the outside. Only then I realized that a window can be much more than it seems.
Now I live in an old house with some windows and I really feel full of life every morning when I open Them and let the morning light come in. Right now as I write I can admire a clear blue sky interspersed with white "flakes of cotton candy", the old coconut with salsa dancers leaves just dancing in the wind, two bergamot tree with branches full of small birds and some vine with bunches of grapes hanging like small bells calling the bees for the meal. Yes, there is a wonderland outside, we just open the window and dream.
