The new chair and a few UFOs

I have spent quite a lot of time in my studio today, sorting through left over yarn and unfinished projects.

In the 1980s I was inspired by Kaffe Fassett and his knitting, and many of the UFOs are from this period.

In two weeks 2018 is here, brand new, pure as a virgin, with an endless list of possibilities.......or something like that :-) I love new beginnings, and I love making lists of new resolutions. So with  the new year coming up, my diary is having a busy time, filling up with new lists as it is.

One of the lists is  a special one for maskerade. I want to finish a few of all the UFOs I have stored somewhere around the house. We have a big house, and believe me, I am not good at throwing away anything!!!!!!!, so the cupboards and cabinets are all filled with bric a bracs from almost 60 years. Yes! I am turning 60 in April!!

I have not set my goal yet, and luckily, I still have two weeks to do it, but what about finishing one UFO every month?

While searching for some special yarn the other day, I found this not quite completed children´s sweater in a bag deep inside a cabinet down in the basement yesterday. I really can´t remember when I knitted it, probably when Marta was a toddler. I would have loved to finish it for my grandson, but I don´t have the yarn needed.......so it looks like I´ll have to do with what I already have.

I do have some plans already for what to make of the two pieces, but you´ll have to wait till January to see :-)

 

By the way, and UFO is an UnFinished Object.
