Our King and Queen have been in China, on an official visit. In that connection there has been several reportages in our news from China. One was from a Chinese kindergarten which has got inspiration from Norway. When one of the teachers was asked what had made the most impression after a study trip to Norway, she was not in doubt - the way small children in Norway spend hours outdoors every day, no matter the weather.
Yes, she is right. No matter the weather, fresh air and outdoor life is what we believe in :-) But outdoor life in Norway means good clothing, and as much as we believe in being outdoors, we also believe in wool. Pure wool.
That is why I am busy these days knitting for our three year old grandson. Long tights in soft, comfortable wool. Which will keep small feet warm for hours.
I have finished a pair for Leander, and already started a new pair for the little brother coming in January. Yes, newborn babies have their daytime naps in their prams, outdoors of course. All year long.
I am thrilled that Leander will be a big brother in January just as Paul will be in May.
Or kindergarden group just passed by my kitchen window. They are outside every day despite the weather and even got a prize for this
Hugs, Dagmar
