A quiet Sunday morning, and one hour extra before church because end of the daylight saving period. Oh yes, I sat down in my knitting studio to work on the new baby cardigan. And discovered that what I draw on paper and the look of the exact knitting is two different things. This did not turn out as I had expected. Another challenge was the fact that I knitted with two needles, which meant I had to purl every second row. My fingers are getting worse. I might manage to purl with one colour only, but with two threads it gave me too much pain. I left my knitting in frustration when we walked to church.......
.......and when we came home, I undid it and started all fresh. Another pattern, and with circular needles.
Now I like the pattern much better. The colours are a bit dark for a newborn, but that´s what I have just now. I will finish the cardigan, and can always make another one on brighter colours for spring. The baby is due in late January, so this will be for the dark winter anyway.
I like the second one much better.
And thank you for the post from Selby-Land. The stature was precious.

January 24th would be a wonderful day for your new baby boy to arrive...LOL. Once again you will be wrapping a sweet grandson in your warmth and love!
