Autumn is knocking on the door, warmer cloths are needed and I have started to knit up a storm of mittens. Mostly for toddlers, design to suit when playing in kindergarten. A perfect way to use left over yarn. I started the first pair almost two weeks ago, while on a work trip up north to Tromsø. Two colours of wool, needles and a little book to write down the pattern, kind of a knit as you go.
A double cuff, to protect the small fingers from the cold snow, and to keep the mitten safe on the hand.
One mitten finished, second one on the needles. Left hand, right hand, opposite colours.
First pair done, and there is enough yarn for another one.
I've never seen that style of mitten. (I guess it's your design).
Does the narrow cuff go inside the jacket and the wider outer cuff then go over the jacket sleeve?
PS: I love stripes.

Yes Mardelle, it is my design, I have seen pictures of similar mittens though :-)
