Ingrid´s sweater for Marius

Ingrid has knitted a sweater for Marius.

The way to put the arms and body together, raglanfelling we call it in Norwegian, and after doing some search it looks like it si called raglan in English as well, was new to Ingrid, so I promised to help her.

We spent last weekend at the cabin, together with Ingrid, Marius and Leander, and we finished the sweater.

 

And here it is, the lion sweater

The tag reads - knitted with love and care by grandmother.

One of the lions has got a little braided tale. A detail which was not in the original pattern.

I went back to work today, after a wonderful summer. Autumn is approaching, and then also time for more knitting. I am on the hook.

A few days at the cabin makes wonder for my knitting, and all of a sudden the lion sweater is done.......almost.

A few loose threads to be fastened.

Lions to come into life.

This is a lot of fun. A lot of grandmother fun :-)

Welcome to my new instagram account

I have been active on instagram for many years and have several accounts. Last night I created a new one, brittarnhildsstrikk, (brittarnhildsknit). I don´t know yet where this new path is leading me, but I am looking forward to walk it.

Starting the instagram path has inspired me to work on my knitting, so today I have had Leander´s lion sweater between my fingers for hours. 

It rained during last night, I love the pattern the raindrops make.

I have been working on the fun part today, knitting the lion head.
Can´t wait to show you
