I was sad to hear you have arthritis in your hands; you knit so beautifull!. After five hand surgeries (nothing to do with knitting) my doctor told me not to knit or crochet anymore. "Over my dead body!", I thought! I saw a magazine article called "Multicultural Knitting". It was the answer to my prayers! I taught myself how to do Russian style knitting and it is very easy on my hands. The purl stitch is as easy as the knit stitch. The doctor's edict was 18 years ago but I still knit. . only I do it Russian style. There used to be a very good video on YouTube that taught Russian knitting. Fair Isle knitting is very easy using this style. Maybe Russian knitting would be easier for you too?
