Happy New Year and a new project

The first day in a new year. Always my favourite day of the year. New beginnings. New projects. 
I wrote about m y New Year´s lists a couple of weeks ago, showing you an unfinished child´s sweater and my resolution to finish UFOs this brand new year of 2018.

Well, the unfinished  sweater is on my work table now, but what is the red and white yarn doing there? And the paper and the red felt pen???

Well, I do have some ideas about what to do with this UFO, believe me, I do! But laying there on my work desk it gave me quite a few new ideas. And as I already had the red and the white yarn. And as I had paper and felt pen and a few sheets of old traditional patterns available.......

Yes, you got it!
I got an idea for a new project.......

 

....... and I will of course keep you updated as I knit ands purl.......

I need to follow this closely. I'm only beginning to do stranded knitting. I really enjoy it but of course I'm no where near designing a pattern. Love the images you are working with though
