With a few of my hand knitted Christmas stockings I wish you a Merry Knitsmas.
In Norway most of the Christmas gifts are found under the tree on Christmas Eve. We do not have an old tradition of stockings stuffed with gifts, but still find one stocking for each person in the house on Christmas morning filled with one or two small extra gifts, and sweets for the kids.
We never made it to hand the stockings this year. Instead I laid them out on the breakfast table, and my daughter put the huge one I knitted for Leander outside his bedroom.
This year Terje and I had two very special embroidered stockings, designed and made by Ardi, a blog reader from Seattle, who came to visit us in June, bringing these wonderful gifts.
bestemor = best mother = grandmother
bestefar = best father = grandfather

I found one knitting book under the tree last night,
and another one in the stocking this morning :-)
How wonderful to have your own stockings. I hope they were well filled!
