I am not at all a fan of bringing forward the holiday season too early. Morst of December is Advent for me, and Advent is purple. Christmas only starts in the night of the 23rd, Little Christmas Eve, or lillejulaften as we call it here in Norway. Our tree is not put up until that night, neither are the other decorations. Well, at least this is how it has been traditionally. Things have changed over the last few year, to stay away from the Christmas stress, I have started to put up a few decorations though Advent, one or two at a time.......but Christmas NEVER starts until the night of lillejulaften.
But of course I can´t wait with the Christmas knitting until lillejulaften. Then nothing would be finished till next Christmas.
So today I have found my stash of red, green and white yarn, and will start on another stocking. I knit at least one every December. Sometimes with fair isle pattern only, other times I knit in the name of the person who will get the finished stocking.
This year I have a name to knit.......
.......and I need to start the stocking :-)

What a cute way to store your yarn!

Thank you StrictlyMystic :-) Actually we are in the process of tidying a cupboard with childhood stuff from our kids and I found these red suitcases. We used to store doll clothes in them. But now I have taken them for different themes of yarn/knitting projects.
There will be more suitcases to open here soon :-)
