The braided scarf is finished. Finally.
Can you remember I bought the alpaca yarn at an outdoor arts & crafts market in Florence. I got the design idea from the yarn seller, saved the idea in my heart and made up the pattern when I came home.
I feel the scarf has taken me ages to finish. Partly because during summer I am busy with so many other things. Partly because the yarn was thin, the needles thinner and the braids took their time.
But here it is, and I am already deep into one of my many unfinished projects.
More of that later.
Beautiful….and it looks wonderfully soft. I was afraid you would not get back to knitting until the nights were really long, especially now that you have a new interest….birding.
My sister law is a Master Birder and it and it is so fun to walk in the woods with her. She can now identify birds by their call (or song or chirp) - then she looks for them. And she too walks with her camera and binoculars. She lives in Colorado so her birds are often different than ours (Minnesota)

All too soon it will be time to wear your new scarf. I have just got out a cowl to finish, I started it early in the year. Time now to look out glove and mitten patterns too!
