Hello to a long lost friend! What a beautiful sweater for a darling young fellow. I like the bit of colorful trim at the edges. I've finally found your knitting blog and become a follower. Not I need to go through the previous posts and catch up.

He is such a handsome boy! I will forward the link to your blog to his mama...she will love it! The weather has remained cool here, perfect for wearing his Norwegian sweater...so it is getting good use. He is very interested in colors and islearning to say all of the colors in English, so the trim on the sweater and esp. all the colors on the buttons fascinates him!

Hi Darla. Welcome to maskerade. How nice to see you here :-)

Yes Jane, children of that age, loving colours, that´s what I had in my mind when I created these trims and also when I bought the buttons :-)

The first step is always the most exciting. I am sitting in a small hotel room, somewhere in Norway. I am knitting, and all of a sudden I knew it was time to start a knitting blog. Maskerade, masquerade, playing with words as maske is the Norwegian word for a knitted stich, rad is a row. Knitted stich in a row - maskerade.
