Will I make it in time.......

Our week in Florence is over. We left our apartment this morning, my husband to go to the airport to fly back home to Norway, I to go to the railway station for the train up to Venize. Unfortunately the airport in Florence is a very small one with a short space for planes to take off. Apparently it was a bit windy today, and his plane was cancelled. After 7 (!) hours on the airport he was sent by bus to Verona. There he will have to stay overnight, and tomorrow he will fly Verona - Rome, Rome - Amsterdam and then finally Amsterdam - Trondheim. Poor guy!

I had two very nice hours on the speed train, and managed to do several rows of the knitting on the bunad jacket for Leander. The jacket is small, but the yarn is thin, the needles are thin and the pattern is quite complicated, so I have to count ALL THE TIME! Very time consuming and I am really starting to worry. Will I make it till May 17th?????

The first step is always the most exciting. I am sitting in a small hotel room, somewhere in Norway. I am knitting, and all of a sudden I knew it was time to start a knitting blog. Maskerade, masquerade, playing with words as maske is the Norwegian word for a knitted stich, rad is a row. Knitted stich in a row - maskerade.
