About an hour north of London, by train, you find the monastery Turvey Abbey. From time to time I go there to spend time with the nuns, spend time in silence and reflections, taking part in the prayers, walking in the abbey woods.
Turvey Abbey has a tiny little gift store where I ususally buy lovely handmade cards. One year I came to Turvey at Easter time, and found some cute little knitted Easter egg bags. I could not resist them, bought a few, and when I came home started to knit some myself.
Easter is coming in a few weeks, and it is time to knit a few more Easter egg bags.
If any of you are interested in the patter, I will see if I can make one in English.......
The Abbey looks beautiful. It must be a lovely place to visit. A pattern in English sounds wonderful! These would be perfect little projects to help me get back into knitting!

Easter egg Bags? How do you use those? I guess my one and half year old grand daughter would like them - She is now into putting things in and taking things out…..of anything.

So that is what your buttons were for? To fasten the little Easter bags. Perfect travelling project.

Yes Georgeanna, the abbey is truly a serene and lovely place. I will see if I can make up the pattern and post it in English this coming week.

Mardelle, I use them to cover the boiled egg and keep it warm on the breakfast table :-)
