I often take the bus one stop extra in the morning. Then I can walk through the city on my way to work. I did this again today, and instead of taking the regular short walk up the archbishop´s palace, where I work, I took a detour into a narrow pedestrian road where I seldon walk. I knew there is a yarn shop in there. I have never visited it, but now I was curious to have a look.
The door was open, and I was tempted to walk in. But not this time. Work was calling my name.
Instead I looked through the windows and let dreams of yarn, textures and colours follow me into my day.
After work I had sopme extra time though, and walked back to the store. The door was still open, welcoming me inside.
And then I learned that this cosy yarn shop is to close in a month.......
I did buy some yarn, on sale, but that´s a tale for another day.
How disappointing that a yarn store close by is closing - The yarn store closest to where I live closed last year. I miss it (but I save money)

There are more yarn stores in Trondheim Mardelle, so I don´t despair.......yet. There is even one in walking distance, about 25 minutes, from our house :-)

It is sad - so many small shops are closing these days. Here in the mountains where I live (in California) we had a lovely yarn shop and several quilt shops - all gone now.

I guess it is too easy to buy online Georgeanne. A great loss for the small shops though.
