Ready for a funeral

Kristofer Leidal (1915-2010), one of the most famous modern stone masons/sculptor of the cathedral is dead.

There are not many funerals in the cathedral, but yesterday the church was closed for tourists for several hours.

Kristofer Leidal's stone figures will live on.

Leirdal's most famous sculpture is the Archangel St.Mikael which you can see high up in the upper left corner in the last photo.
