I was at the airport in Trondheim, having a last cup pf coffee before my flight which would eventually take me to Reykjavik, via Copenhagen. From the next gate a plane was to fly to London, and at the table next to me an elderly couple was talking about their coming weekend.
Another woman came over, and with half an ear I overheard that she was also on her way to London, to celebrate her 60th birthday with children and grandchildren.
I was deep into my book about Iceland, Bli Björk by Mette Karlsvik......well, at least I tried to be deep into my book. But when I heared the elderly couple recommend their favorite restaurant in London, I laid down my book and leaned over to the neighbour table "We share the same favorite. That´s a lovely place!"
I found Sarastro Restaurant quite by accident some years ago, and since then I make sure to go back every time I am in London.
The place is a Turkish Delight filled with all the sweet flavour you can dream of.....and a little more.
Last year I spent a few days in London with my two girls, and when we on Saturday close to lunch time, we found ourselves near Covent Garden, there was no doubt.
We ate and enjoyed live music at Sarastro.
