The new food hall in Trondheim is filling up with goodies for the Christmas season. It is a bit early for me to start grocery shopping yet, but as the halls are close to where my bus stops, I love to walk through the halls before going home from work in the afternoons.
It is warm inside the halls, and I get the colours I crave so much for at this time of the year.
When I was a child one of my favorite desserts was preserved plums. It is many years since I have made it myself now. I was tempted to buy a glass and serve Terje on a special occation. I did not buy it, but as I sit here writing this blog post I regret it. Next time I visit the Food Halls I will buy a glass and then, when we become grandparents, we can celebrate :-)
Most of the cheese here is local, but Stilton cheese, which is not, is still a must for Christmas.
An empty Christmas tree stands in the Food Halls. It is waiting for children to come and decorate it with their homemade ginger breads.......
.......I will have to do something about that!
