A couple of weeks ago we still had snow. Then, all of a sudden spring and warm weather came, and today I could start the season of foraging. A friend introduced me to wild garlic a few years ago. As far as I knit, it doesn't grow anywhere in the woods around Trondheim, but near our cabin , in secret places, you can find more than you need. A lot more.
I filled a basket just before we drove home from the cabin this morning. Ha, can you imagine the smell filling the car. Good for us, we both love garlic, and the smell og garlic.
I am going to freeze most of it, but since today is Friday and I always make pizzas on Friday night, I could fill the pizzas with wild garlic today, together with creme fraîche, very thin slices of potato, and topping it with cheese. Mmmmmm, delicious.
