Can you imagine waking up to this view, to this world?
That's what I did this morning.
For many years we had no electricity installed here, and when we finally did I promised myself I would still have the dark mornings during late Autumn, Winter and early Spring. I was up early this morning, while Terje was still asleep, and sat there, watching the day dress in her colours. I was just watching, doing nothing else.
What a blessing.
Later, when Terje was up and the world's light was on, we had breakfast. Still with the same view, but now the colours had completely changes. We feed the birds when we are here. Our last visit was in October, and the birds had forgotten our treats, but after a couple of hours of daylight they were back and we could enjoy the different species.
Always time for coffee, and today with cookies I had brought from home ( our grandson Milian turned 5 last week, he loves grandma's chocolate cookies and I made him a tin full, with a few left over for grandma and grandpa)
Terje went for cross country skiing, I stayed at home with my books, my knitting and my writing.
And finally it was time for dinner.
Local, traditional fish balls, potatoes, carrots, bacon and béchamel sauce.
Our cabin kitchen is a simple one, but I love cooking and baking there. And we both love to eat what I make of course :-)
