Leaving our home just after breakfast, heading south east, we were a little concerned. The part of Norway and Sweden we were to drive through has had some very heavy rain and the were bad floodings. Would our road be open, we wondered.
Lucky for us, the day was sunny and beautiful. We did pass a couple of quite heavy showers, but the roads were okay. We stopped to have coffee along the road,
I was thinking of you Ardi when I shot this photo through the front window of our car,
and we stopped in the old mining town Røros just long enough for me to be able to buy one of this mugs. I collect them :-)
The part of Sweden where we will now spend a couple of days, is called Dalarna Län, The County of the Valleys, and is known by these very typical wooden horses. We have stopped in two cities today, and you see the horses everywhere. Most of them much more shiny than this one which I found outside a gas station where we stopped, but noen of them as charming.
We are in Falun now, will spend two nights here and have something very exciting coming up tomorrow. But before arriving here we had a stop and a nice walk in Mora. The picture is from the garden connected to the Zoorns Home and Museum. The museum is dedicated to the famous Swedish artist Anders Zoorn (1860-1920). We had no time to go inside today, but may be later we will find and opportunity.......
