Winter was long this year, spring was short.
Well, technically speaking we still have spring, but for days and days now we have had sun and mild temperatures. The garden is sprouting, and I am busy from early morning till late night. Busy in a very good way. Out in the garden for hours and hours.
Our garden is a place for beauty, but just as much a rustic place, for grandchildren to play in. If they break a flower stem or ten, what does it matter? If the weeds grow faster than my fingers can fight them, what does it matter?
I plant, I water, I weed.......from time to time.
But most of all I enjoy every minute of my days.
It is still spring, and it feels like summer.
The Nordic summer with daylight almost around the clock, chilly mornings, days warm enough for the children to shower under the water hose, long, bright afternoons and nights taken from my dreams.

We have had a garden filled with children and grandchildren all day today.
When they left it was time for me to water the garden. I love watering. Time to reflect, time to go back and enjoy moments from the day, time for prayers. Time for growth, for me and for the many plants.
