The weather was grey yesterday, rain in Tirano where our Bernina Express ride started, snow when we came up to Saint Moritz.
Snow doesn´t stop us, stuborn Norwegian as we are. We put on some warm clothes, yes, we had read the weather forecast before packing, every Norwegian reads the weather forecast, it is just as important as out brown bread and cod liver oil for breakfast :-) After a nice, local lunch and a stroll in the town center, we continue down to the lake, and to my pure delight, I saw birds, many of them, some I had never seen before.
Photographing birds is not easy when it is icy cold and snowing, but I could not let that stop me, could I?
A little grebe, adult and baby, new to my list.
A grey wagtail, first time this year for me.
An Eurasian coot, and many more.
And today we woke up to this blue, blue sky.
We learned yesterday that Saint Moritz has at least 320 sun days every year, so for us to have two grey days in a row.......impossible.
