I have been working on Leander´s kofte, cardigan, for several months. From the very start when I drew the pattern, combining traditional designs from the Faroe Island and Norway, then choosing yarn ands colours, and then weeks and weeks of knitting.
And now I have come to the last part, the most difficult part but also the most exciting part. Sew and cut and put together.
Leander´s kofte is almost done, and when it is, I will start designing a new patters.......for another little baby. Ingrid is expecting her second in January :-)
Terje has inherited an old chest from his great grandfather, his mother´s grandpa
The old wooden chest is filled to the brim with tools. Old tools, some very old tools, collected through generations. Used by creative and clever hands.
Terje´s great grandpa was a seaman on a sailing ship. I wonder if the ship was as big as the one in the painting on the inside of the lid.
Terje has taken the chest out, he cleans it, he cleans the tools and puts them back.
The old tool chest has now hit its own space down in Terje´s basement workshop.
I would love to display it in our livingroom.......but so far I have not managed to persuade him that this is a good idea.

I have now started the timid process to move all my travel posts over to Caffe Avec. Click on the image above to be taken there, or go to Caffe Avec on facebook, like the page and you will get updates when new posts are up directly on your facebook wall.
They are busy, running here ands there, up and down.
Sowing is their passion,
and most of all, sunflower seeds.
My busy garden workers are the squirrels :-) In spring and early summer they put sunflower seeds everywhere. I weed most of the seedlings, but a few are allowed to grow. Which means there are many sunflower in the garden now.
A rainy day. A rainy cabin day. The cabin is small, we were five people = crowdy. And cozy. Outside the rain was poring down. I was out to watch two young eagles playing. I have not checked the pictures from my camera yet, but do not think I got any good images.
Indoors it was extra crowded. A new sofa, ready to be unpacked and set up. The old one still there.
Terje was busy with the sofa, Leander busy playing. Ingrid and I were knitting.......and as we finished a sweater for Marius, he had to take part in a photo shot :-)
