We came back home last night, after three full weeks in Italy. Three wonderful weeks in Italy. Today is a day of unpacking, doing laundry, grocery shopping, lunch with my parents, but most of all a day of gardening. Our lovely neighbours, mother and daughter, have taken care of the garden while we have been away, so everything is now lush and green. Also the weeds :-)

But before starting my list of to do things, I sat down to look through my pictures, gathering ideas for blog posts, may be a photo book.

Of course you can see the selfie. I had already posted it on facebook, so I thought that most of you had seen it already :-). Talking about facebook, I have gone into the thinking box to find out how I want my relationship to facebook ne in the future. For years I have posted daily updates there, but do I want to continue this. Is facebook really a place where I want to share so much of my life? In the blog, yes, but on facebook.......

I am sitting in a hotel room on Murano, looking through my photos from the last weeks. In the room to my left Leander is asleep, in the room to my right Terje, Ingrid, Marius and Marta are playing cards.

Looking through the photos is like reading a travel memoir. 

Looking through the photos is like standing in the middle of a sun flower field, taking selfies.

 

Looking through the photos is like living a dream, knowing that it is still there when you wake up.

We are still in Italy, now together with our two next generations. Before we drove west in Tuscany to meet up for our week together, Terje and I were invited inside Frances Mayes garden. The picture Terje  took of Frances and me will always be a reminder that it is never to late to follow my (writing) dreams.

Pen and paper (read computer), here I come!

60 years of blessings

60 years today since I was baptised in the old medieval church Lade in Trondheim. Here with my parents Marta Wigum and Odd Inge Wigum, my uncle John who, died last year, and my three grandparents, grandma Olga, grandma Ragna Josefine and grandpa Johannes. Grandpa Benjamin died of cancer only one month within this day. He saw me once and I am told he ten put his hand on my head and blessed me. This blessing, and the daily prayers of my grandparents and parents has followed me through my 60 years.

 I think today deserves a special celebration. Terje, Let us find somewhere here in Cortona where we can have a feast 

Summer in Tuscany

Three weeks in Italy. Most of the time in Tuscany.

 

Santa Maria is filled with a huge group of Steiner school youths from Germany. We are invited to lunch an meets a variety of flowers and plants very different from what I see in April.

A break from blogging feels good.
