This winter has been a great winter. Stable winter weather with snow and cold ever since several weeks before Christmas. Believe me when I say it has been a great winter. We have not had this on and off weather with cold, then mild and melting snow, then cold again which turns the world into ice, then more snow and the roundabout goes on. We have had snow, stable, dry snow for months, and I have done more cross country skiing than I have done in years. And there have been no icy pavements to walk to the bus.
But now I think it is enough. The winter and the cold have lasted long enough.
Last night was been cold like all nights for a long time now, but this morning the temperatures had risen. It is just over the freezing point now. Still snowing, and a gale wind, but.......
And in the green house I found the first miracle of spring:
