Europe is freezing this week, icy cold air from east, from Sibir, is sweeping over the continent, bringing snow as far south as Rome. I got a photo yesterday from Santa Maria, the old farm on the hills east of Florence, where I spent Easter last year, and will go again in a few weeks. Hard to imagine snow there, the old stone buildings must be terrible cold. My sinuses are not fond of this cold, dry air, so I am home from work today. The hearth has a fire running, I am wrapped in a wool quilt and have a mug of hot water with lemon and ginger at hand. A book in my lap, but mostly I am watching the birds at the feeders out in the garden. Letting my thoughts wander where they want.
Sunday was a snowy day, we drove home from the cabin and I did some filming from the drive:
Terje can´t stop. He continues to cross country ski every day. I wanted a hike without skis, so Saturday morning we drove out to the island where we often go hiking when we are at the cabin.
The roads were so icy though, we had to give up the hike.
A golden eagle chased by a crow, that´s what we got to see in front of the cabin today. I got many photos, but now video. Here is what I did get on my videos though:
Blogging is for me about words and images. As it has been for 13 years now. Or is it 14? But for the moment I am in love with making YouTube videos, and as my days have only 24 hours, like your days have, I can´t manages everything.
I will be back to good old word and pictures blogging, but for the moment I hope you don´t mind a few videos.......
