When I started blogging "a million years" ago, it did not take long to get a world wide circle of blogging friends. Many have disappeared out in thin air, but it is amazing how many I am still in contact with. Many have become lifelong friends. One of them is Linda, an American woman married to French Maurice. Linda runs the blog Frenchless in France, where she share bits and pieces of her life with her readers. In the summer of 2010 Linda and Maurice came to Norway. They stoped at Moi where we were staying with my father in law, and continued up to Trondheim where they stayed in our house for a week. Later that same year, Terje, Marta and I traveled to Paris and stayed in Linda and Maurice´s apartment. Coming back to Paris this time, Linda offered us (me, Terje, Marta and Marta´s boyfriend Martin) to stay in their apartment again. And here we are.
The apartment is not far from the Matro station Nation, a lovely, silent area from where we can easily access the rest of Paris.
We have a five day Metro card, but this morning we didn´t want to go far. In some information left in the apartment, Linda has written about the local market, which are in just around the corner on Wednesday and Saturday. We are going back to Trondheim on Wednesday and will probably not have much market time then, but this morning woke up as a perfect stroll along the local market morning.
What a market!
At first sight it looked like we could walk for ages. But of course, eventually we reached the end, and walked back the same way.
On my way down I used my phone for snaps and instagram stories.
On my way back I used my camera, to capture a few of all those lovely market day smiles.
How I love Paris.
