For years I had heard about it, the rhododendron nursery out on the island, not far from our cabin. But for some reason or other, time for a visit has never been there. Not until now that is!
We had to ask a few questions to find the place, but with the answers to help us, it turned out to be easy to find the place. A sight down near the road told us the garden and nursery was open from 12 and for a few hours. We came a quarter past 12, tried the doorbell, tried to call but found no one at home, But since the sign said OPEN, we took the chance and walked in.
I could hardly leave the place. So much beauty! So many colours!
After a long, lon while Terje and I left the place and went back to the cabin filled with dreams for our cabin garden. And then worked in it for hours.
Now I am reading about Olderviks Rhododendron Garden on internet, from when the family bought their house and garden in 1980, and till today with their 250+ different rhododendrons.
