These last days leading up to Lent is called fastelavn in Norway. They are filled with traditions. As many of you know, I wrote a book about Lent some years ago. This years I use texts from this book in my Norwegian blog Blåklokkeveien. And together with the text, I add stories about the writing. Like today, I will write about my visit to the carnival in Venice in 2006, and to the little workshop of the mask maker Cueros.
