December should be a month when everybody had time and money to travel Europe hunting the Christmas markets. I do have a long list of markets where I would love to go.....and it is not even December yet :-) London is on my list, and together with Trondheim, where we have a tiny little, very charming market coming up in a few weeks, London will be The Christmas Market City for me this year. No matter how much I wish, I can´t travel ALL the time.
While shopping yesterday we were amazed by all the people everywhere. It was not until we came back to the hotel and opened our facebook, instagram and twitter accounts that we learned about Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, the start of Christmas shopping. The craziest day to be on Oxford street.
It was the same in Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, a huge Christmas market and amusement park. We had an early dinner Marta and I and came to the market before the huge crowds, but believe me, ot didn´t take long to fill up. To the brim!
We still had a great time though. Walking through the amusement area, over to the stalls where arts and crafts from around the world were sold.
We didn´t buy much,
but I can promise a few new nativity scenes will be shown in Caffe Avec as December unfolds.
