Saturday. At home. Indian summer. A garden waiting to be caressed.
We spent yesterday out in The Blue Garden. Making it ready for a long winter. Weeding. Cutting dead branches. Planting bulbs.
I had a transfer in Amsterdam when I flew home from Istanbul. And while running between two gates, I managed to stop long enough to buy a few bulbs. The new garden, the one I made just a few weeks ago, got a collection of bulbs which will be plans the bees and bumblebees are supposed to love.
Winters are hard on our bulbs. They freeze, or they are eaten by mice. Last autumn, on another transfer in Amsterdam, I bought 100 tulip bulbs. Last winter was especially hard and only 5 of the tulips made it. I can´t stop planting more bulbs though. I can´t let hope of the most beautiful spring garden fly.
No Blue Garden day without a break for coffee and vafler.
Thanks for all your name suggestions yesterday. There are so many great ones and I have no idea which one to choose. It might be Carol´s Studio Fine Dining though, I think so far it is my favorite.
My own idea is something like Studio Map the World. Homemade food from recipes collected though my travels around the world. Friday night the main course was Italian. Next I am thinking of some Spanish. May be tapas and sangria :-)
