The huge spurce fell a couple of weeks ago. Terje had planned to remove the stump, but after a visit to Jorun´s amazing garden on our way back home from the cabin, I was inspired to use the stump as a base for a new garden. Terje was sceptical at first : "Don´t we already have enough to take care of?" But seeing my entusiasm he changed his mind.
When Terje was out mowing the grass yesterday afternoon, I decided it was time to start my project. Terje came over again and again, giving advices, and I could see that he itched to take over the project. I do have green fingers, but they are all thumbs unfortunately. His fingers, hands and arms are much stronger and much more practical than mine. But I told him: "This is my project Terje. I don´t know where I am going yet, and it might take years to get there. But I believe in this project, and as long as I work in my own arthritic pace, I know I can do it. I will ask for your help when I need it, but not just know." Terje smiled and went back to his mowing.
After a while the icecream car came, Terje bought some icecream and we had coffee :-) Out in the garden of course.
Plans for the new garden are playing in my mind today.
As I said, it will take time, but up dates will be given, here or in The Blue Garden blog.
