We are back in Reykjavik, and I am working on my travel diary. The black notebook where I write down "everything" which happens during a travel.
It is impossible to keep up with the travel writing as we go, I admire the old travellers who sat down every night, writing long, detailed travel letters to send home, and then using these letters to write their books later.
I keep notes every day. This time in a little blue moleskin notebook. I also have the photos to help me. And my blog posts.
We are back in Reykjavik. Last night we had a movienight with my sister in law, Embla and Àgúst. "Silver Linings Playbook". Today we´ll just enjoy the city.
Tomorrow we fly back home.
A travel, a multiple enjoyment.
Planning
Actual travel
Travel diary writing, and travel diary reading.
Making travel photobooks.
I used to make travel diaries where every other page was set aside for photos. Now they are all filled with words, though sometimes I glue in a ticket, a little note, a piece of information. Like the tiny little index card where the waitress at Hotel Anne wrote down information about where she suggested we could stay the next night. (we did, and it was a winner!)
Do you keep a travel diary?
How do you do it?
Please tell me, I always love new ideas.
In my next post I will tell you about Anna, the dairymaid who traveled the world, and then published her own travel books.
