Going elsewhere doesn´t mean going away from blogging. I know I have mentioned that from time to time, but I am beyond that now. Blogging means too much to me, and I can never say no to the wonderful way it showers me with friends from all over the world.
Old friends. New friends.
Like the coming Saturday, when a blog reader and her mother are coming to Trondheim from Alaska, well, they have arrived in Trondheim already I believe, in the middle of a loooong snowstorm today, but I will meet them at their hotel Saturday morning and take them with my on my Saturday Morning Photo Walk. Of course I must keep on blogging, at least to show you the photos from our tour ;-)
Like your loving comments to yesterday´s post. I would like to quote them all here, but you can go to the comment page and read for yourself. I do want to copy Barbara aged 80 though:
I cannot let a day go by without a look at your wonderful photos and especially, your sharing with us your life. When I read I hear you talk of cabins in the woods, a mother who plays the piano, coffee shops, early morning walks, a husband who still delights and will build you a greenhouse, church ceremonies and a daughter growing into adulthood before our eyes because of your sharing her with us. From time to time you share your knitting and reading and if I have time I review your other blogs as well as, I will click on one of the thumb-print photos at the bottom of the post and be transported to past memories. I understand how after years or enthusiasm it gets tiresome - and writers block can easily become blog block - only to say many of us get a block in our life and career. I know your blog has ALWAYS been filled with positive thoughts and experiences but maybe another chapter - a blog in your book of blogs that you list at the top of each page that takes us through your gray time - what a boon for those of us who, as we age are loosing so much and we try to come to terms with these many losses - friends, body ability, foods we can no longer digest, part of our family move away, shops close and others open, products we used for years are no more, Doctors retire, even with cataract surgery our eyes are not what they were, at meetings we are overlooked, we are sidelined - all makes for an effort to stay upbeat and chug on - we want to be acknowledged and so my trick is to give what I want and need - Sometimes it works and sometimes not but at least it gives me a focus - All to say I would love to hear about your journey through this gray time - what you feel - what you decide in important - what you are missing - what are still your dreams - please consider after a few rest weeks sharing with us your journey, your quest for fulfillment... if nothing else the inspiration for some of us can be to learn about another's journey through what many of us face. Thanks, Barbara - age 80. P.S. OH how I wish you would include the recipe for some of the foods you swerve and so beautifully photographs.
Thank you Barbara! From the deep of my heart!
Like the way blogging has taught me to see, to feel, to breath, to live.....so much deeper, so much fuller, so much more alive.
Your comments, your emails, your letters, your calls, our meetings are what has made this possible.
Like the anticipation I feel every morning when I turn on the computer. Will there be any new comments?
But still. Where to go?
More than 3000 posts over almost 8 years. Probably more than 10.000 photos.
Have I said it all?
Have I showed it all?
I know I haven´t. I know there are more tales to tell. More images to show. As long as we are alive there will be.
But
I think I need your help.
Your help to give me back my inspiration.
What shall I blog about?
What do YOU want me to blog about?
