Saturday. Without plans. An extra day. A gift.
We had planned to spend this weekend at the cabin. But when we came home from work yesterday and were almost reday to go, it was raining, not cats and dogs, but elephants in buckets. So the cabin trip is postphoned.
So when we woke up this morning, we had all the time in the world ahead of us.
What luxury.
We ate my mother´s fresh baked whole wheat rools for breakfast, then headed downtown for my "it-is-such-a-long-time-since-now-Saturday-morning-photo-walk". For the first time Terje went with me on one of these walks, and I had a lot of secret places to show him along the river and the canal.
The sun´s curiosity dried away the rain showers for a couple of hours, and showed us a freshly showered cityskape.
Too early for coffee,
well, at least during the first part of our walk.
These Saturday morning photo walk tend to take me to the river, and the canal. My favorite parts of Trondheim.
The walk even better with Terje walking with me.
Sharing my favorite paths.
Life along the canal. Eternal, still it changes every time I walk there.
Walking, dreaming of living in a boat.
Back in town the Farmer´s Market had opened.
Soon we had filled our bags with vegetables, cheese, a cured leg of mutton, smoked sausages, homemade chocolate...
....but search in vain for honey and homemade flatbrød
We are back home.
I am cooking traditional Saturday rice porridge for lunch,
listening to Chopin
and crossing my fingers that the rain will stop again after lunch, giving us time to do some much needed garden work.
