Härnösand is about the same longitude as Trondheim, and pretty much the same climate. Still, coming there these days felt like a visit a long way southwards.
We stayed at Vårstad Diakonigård, and close to the house where we slept was a garden. A walled garden with a sign telling the opening hours
Not open while we were there!
Oh no!
The gate was partly open though and my friend and I sneaked inside for a few secret photos. With Mary, Mary Quite Contrary and her secret garden in our minds.
Later in the day, during our break before dinner, I saw the gardener in there, I opened the gate, tiptoed in and asked very carefully; "may I have a look in your beautiful garden?"
A broad smile gave me the answer I needed.
The garden at Vårsta Diakonigård is used for treatment. Here you can walk around, or sit down. Alone or in dialogue. You can eat a tomatoe, taste the herbs, shower in colours, sit down near the cross, listen to the running water.
I had a full pot of luck. The next day a garden visit was part of our program. The closed gate opened for our group and I got another walk. Showered in more colours. Colected sunbeams and fragrances, and a few pelargonium cuttings.
The garden at Vårsta, the small private gardens in Härnösand which I found along my walk.....
....they all filled my heart with inspiration.
The garden at Vårsta is for treatment.
Walking in a beautiful garden is like bathing your soul in rose petals.

The autumn weather in Trondheim is sunny and mild these days, and the sun is still awake for a few hours when I am home from work.
Don´t ring the door bell if you pass by. I will not hear it.......
....I´m out in the garden.
