The day we left Trondheim I had a few errands to do. I finished packing in the morning and drove downtown for a few hours. In several emails over the past months Jane has told me that she loves weeding and that she would want to do some in The Blue Garden. we were so busy during their week in Trondheim, there was never time for weeding......untill the last day.
I was never able to take photos of Jane on her knees working, but I enjoying coming home to see the finished result :-)
Yesterday it was time for one of many highlights on our 2 1/2 weeks together, a visit at Flor & Fjære, the amazing island garden near Stavanger.
We went on a guided tour with lunch included, and when we came out to the island the owners devided us into groups; Norwegian speaking and English speaking. Jane and Lanny were the only English speaking, the Norwegian group was HUGE, so I tiptoed over to my Americans and took part in their exclusive guiding.
What a joy to watch Jane and our guide.
Two garden lovers meeting. One Norwegian. One American (California).
Norwegian flower names. American flower names.
The love of flowers, of gardens, shines through.
Borders don't matter when you share a love.
