Gathered around the dinner table. The kids came home to celebrate their mother last night. For the first time ever, The Blue Cafe served takeaway Asian food, and my handmade eating sticks from Laos came out handy.
53 years young, 3 days of celebrations.
It started Saturday with the walk in town, yes, Terje let his cross country ski rest and came with me. So did Marta. We had a tapas lunch, we did some shopping. Sunday was the BIG day. A day for Terje to do his cross country skiing. A day for the birthday girl to read, to rest, to listen to music, to attend the opening of an exhibition, to have her coffee out in the garden,.......getting the perfect idea for a birthday gift for herself "Terje, do you want to come with me to the garden center. I will buy myself a green house"
Sunday night a party with all her best friends. Food made by the birthday girl's 2 daughters, her mother, her sister in law, her friend, her husband, and.....yes, a salad made by the birthday girl herself....
Then last night came, the kids filled the house with their talk and laughter. Words between every mouth full of food.
I could be a birthday girl every day.....though now I have sweet memories to last me a year......several years......a life time.
