Waking up to a choir of birds in the huge trees outside our open bedroom window.
I am planning to make this a perfect day!

I am sorry for my short posts lately. Again I am peeling leaves of the daisies, one by one, to blog or not to blog.....

Paris last autumn:
We came home last night, to rain and cold. People tell us that the weather here in Trondheim has been almost as good as in Paris, but changed yesterday, and we have to believe them. Autumn is here, cold and wet, and no travels to look forwards to in the near future.'
But the travel memories are plenty and I suppose I will keep on blogging from Paris and Syria for a long time. There might even be another post or two from Bosnia. There was a packet waiting for me when I came home, a book, The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Gelloway, sent me by Marilee, with a handwritten greeting from the author, just to me ;-) What a great welcome home gift. Thanks Marilee!
But back to Paris. Sunday morning was set for Louvre, with Mona Lise high up on the list. We came there with a million others.
Marta on her way to see Mona Lisa, or La Joconde as the French call this world famous painting-
We saw Mona Lise, we took our photos and felt kind of, well, that was that! Then we looked around to all the hundreds of other paintings in the Italian section, and at least I felt I was in heaven. Italian art - my favorite!
"Look Marta at this painting, here you see Mary and the angel telling her that she will give birth to a baby. Can you see her red and blue clothers, the angel, the lilies, they are all so typical."
Marta turned around from Mona Lisa "Yes, mamma, I see what you mean. And there is another one. Look, they are all called The Annonciation" "Yes, Marta, you are right, that's their name. How many can you find do you think?"
For a long, long time we were all busy and happy, searching out my favorite period and place in art history. The Italian paintings.
Marta counted the Annonciation paintings. How many did she find?
