The summer of 2001 two young girls and their parents visited Monet's Garden in Giverny, with the waterlilies, the green bridge and everything they had read about, dreamed about, hoped to see.
In October 2010 one of the girls and her parents visited The Orangerie in Paris, with Monet's waterlily paintings.
The Garden, the real thing with flowers, butterflies, water, the sun warming us, the wind cherishing our cheeks.
The Orangerie, where paint and brush strokes had been transformed to magic by the artist.
How I wish I could take you all along.
To the garden and to the museum.
All I can offer though is a flat blog, some photos and a few words.
Or.......may be we shall meet in Paris one day?
A long time dream came true the afternoon I visited The Orangerie.
