First of all, a heartfelt thank to Thomas for the days he let me spend at Santa Maria. I haven't posted about my stay there yet as I was without internet access, but I have several stories waiting. Thanks also to Valfrid for the talks we had.
Jane and Lanny made Florence special for me. First with the unexpected "are you Britt?"-meeting, then with the great suggestions you gave be for places to see, places to visit, and then of course the wonderful dinner you invited me to in the small trattoria. Thanks for offering friendship so easily and deeply. I look forward to get to know you better.
There is of course one man I can never thank enough, and trying to find words I lack them completely. You are making Venice so special for me, and you have a very special place in my heart Mauro.
Almost every time I come to visit I am getting a special treat; my Austrian friend Dagmar is coming down to see me. This time we spent a night eating the world's biggest pizzas at All'Anfora, and we spent a whole day walking, talking, walking, talking. I really appreciates your friendship so much Dagmar. Grazie Mille!
The welcome poster in the first photo was written by two charmeurs; Leonardo and Gabriele, two boys who stole my heart when I spent the week-end with them and their parents Antonella and Fransesco in Bassano. What a lovely family, what a lovely week-end. The start of yet another lifelong friendship.
Then, I couldn't resist sharing this last photo. There is another one of Mauro and me, but that one is Mauro's special greeting to Terje and will not be shown here. This one represent for me "å glede seg OVER"/to enjoy friendship over borders, a gift of friendship recieved, of friendship so precious I almost feel my heart bursting with joy!
The world is filled with precious, unique, exeptional people. I have been lucky and have met a few of them during the past two weeks. I know I have many more meetings awaiting me in the future.
