"Dear God. When you created the world you must have forgotten something. You did create language, didn't you? So why did you forget to find a Norwegian word for snowday. A day when I can look out the window and say to myself - too much snow today, impossible to go downtown for work......and then I could call my boss to tell him; I'm not coming today, the snow is keeping me indoors. I am very sorry, but I will try the best I can to make the day pass without working, may be I bring out a book, some stationary, my knitting, and I have a pile of cds I want to listen to.....well, of course I rather prefere work, but you know how it is, rather impossible right now...... My boss would be disappointed of course, he would miss my smile and my effective working........but what am I to do? Dear God, did you forgot to create the Norwegian word, or what?????? You did remember you say? But why do I have to go to work today then? The past 24 hours we've goten another 50 cms of snow on top of all we already had........You made us tuff and stubborn enough to master the snow you say? You gave us eyes to see the beauty of the snow, the beauty of four seasons? You gave me feet to dance on snowy roads, a heart to collect colours reflected in snow? I would be bored if I didn't go to work you say...........But? No buts, you say..........but.........Look at the white snowflakes falling slowly, you say, peacefully, remember how they taste during the first snowfall in December........
I know God. You are right. Thank you for not creating any Norwegian snowdays. Thank you for making us available to master the snow, the challenges..........thank you for the drive and the walk I have every morning, on my way to work.......and thank you dear God for the blessings of my work, of my colleages, of my everydays!"

Are you ready to go with me this morning? First a drive together with Terje, then a 25 minutes walk to the Archbishop's Palace where I have my office. Okay, find your best winterboots and come along:
So tell me, how did you like the walk?
Tomorrow I plan to give you a few photos of colours reflected in the snow.
