This week-end is for family, food and fun. In The House in the Woods we started already yesterday, with three cousins gathered and a pizza buffet from The Blue Café. My oldest brother, Frode, and daughet Kamilla (almost 12) came down from Lofoten and is staying with us. Frode is an artist in the kitchen, still I could surprise him yesterday with one of my pizza specialities - with a topping of pears, blue cheese and walnuts.
With Kamilla here for a few days, Marta invited Mathilde to come as well, so now the three cousins are gathered, only missing Embla in Iceland. But in August they will all be together in Croatia :-). Marta is the oldest, and the born leader. Last night she invited Kamilla and Mathilde into the kitchen, The Blue Café where they baked a couple of cakes for mormor's (grandma's) huge 80th birthday party which will be tonight.
Woops, no sugar left...........Marta's will not be stopped though. "there are some old sugar cubes in the drawer, I can make the sugar I need from them"
Kamilla is giving Marta a helping hand.
My mother's party will be tonight, somewhere downtown. Tomorrow we will celebrate brother Frode's 50th birthday here in The House in the Woods. Full house, full menu. But the week-end feasting started already last night.
