Around noon I left a misty Trondheim. By boat I travelled out the Trondheim Fjord, my destination was the island Hitra out in the North Sea, a beautiful island where I spent several of my childhood summers, staying with mamma's aunt Einar and uncle Eline.
Yesterday I was travelling out to Hitra for a meeting with the church boards in the area, and no time at all for sightseeing or searching up memories from childhood summers. But being in the mood and prosess of planning quite a few travels for 2010 right now, I decided to make the two hours' boat trip a travel.
The heavy mist was not part of my plan as I sat in a chair close to the window, ready with my camera. But then, the photo of Munkholmen (just outside Trondheim) is quite beautiful, isn't it :-)
I had books in my backpack, several books. You have so much time at hand during a two hours' boat trip, don't you? And then there were another two hours back to Trondheim again. I didn't get much time for reading though, instead my work phone was quite busy, and yesterday was a workday anyway........
I didn't mind. The mist left, and when we arrived at Hitra at 2pm, the world was filled with sunshine.
The meeting I attended was a bit more cloudy, but, well, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.....and Britt-Arnhild's House in the Woods is not supposed to be much about my job anyway. So why don't we look at some sunny, snowy photos instead:
When I came out after the meeting, the sky was burning.....
.....and while waiting for the boat the world was like a fairytale
On the boat back to Tronheim I knitted, and I dreamed of upcoming travels.
