Sailing with a ship from Oslo to Copenhagen means that you have a few hours to spend in the city before you have to be on the shio sailing north again. Shuttle busses took us from the ship in to town, and when I looked at my watch I soon counted that I had four hours in the city. And a list with three important! things to do.
First out was Tage Andersen's Flower gallery. Preben took me to this lovely place a few years ao, and since then I've been back every time I visit Copenhagen. This time it was early Sunday morning, and I was ready to find the place closed. I would enjoy the windows.....
The door was closed when I arrived, after running through most of the city.....so much to reach, so little time.....
I was lucky though, the artist himself, Tage Anderson, was down in the basement of his shop. Working with his arrengemnets. Time stopped when I followed his hands setting up a display.
Suddenly the master turned his head, looked at me. I froze. Did he look friendly, or what...... I smiled a stiff smile, feeling terrible rude with my camera between my hands.....
I made myself ready to leave the flower gallery.....just a few shots first.....
...hard to stop.....these displays touch some strings in me.....
...a reflection is a must....I am collecting them.....
Then the incredible happens. The front door opens and out comes Tage's apprentice, the nice young mand I meet on every visit to the gallery.
"Good morning. Are you opening the shop?"
"Yes madam, just a second."
Suddenly I am inside paradise....
A paradise where camelias bloom.....
