I am in Oslo for two days. Meetings. Last night was spent in the smallest hotel room I've ever seen.
I made it my room for the night. With Vita Sackville-West and her Twelve Days in Persia, with Anthony Capella and his The Various Flavours of Coffee, with Chopin on the ipod, chatting on Windows Messenger with Marta, phoning my parents, phoning Terje, emailing a few friends, sending comments back and forth on facebook. Knitting. Making myself a nice cup of tea.
Suddenly it was time to go to bed. With Anthony Capella. Missing Terje.

I got an email last week - "we wonder of you would be willing to write lodging reviews from Europe for our company. You can post them in your blog with a link to our site. We pay well."
I "telte på knappene", I counted my buttons as we say in Norway. Tempted. Pay well......I could start saving for another travel. Istanbul. Damascus. Japan. Marocco.......
In the end I decided against it. Blogging is for fun. All for fun. Blogging is my pasttime, my hobby, my joy and pleasure. And I do it all for free. I do it all for your friendship, for you my readers. Never ever for money.

So you will not get the needed information from this smallest hotel room ever. Not the location. Nor the prize. Only an impression of my lonely night there.

Tonight I will be home again. With Terje and Marta.
