Coming home from the cabin Sunday night, I found the fridge almost empty. Of course I did, we had been away for more than a week. "Do you want me to go for some shopping at the place which is open Sunday nights?" Terje asked "Oh no, I love challenges like this. Anybody wants a pizza?"
Smiles all around.
While making the dough I had the laptop in the kitchen, and suddenly my niece popped up on facebook. Tone loves making food and soon we were deep into a food discussion. I told her about my challenge to find fillings for our pizza, and suggestions started to flow between us:
..........have you tried pizza with pesto and cashewnuts, or eggs and bananas, crocodile meat, my brother ate pizza with squirrel meat some time, fish and chips would be fun to try some day.......
I love making pizza and I love to play with new fillings, though after the facebook chat with Tone I know that I have a long way to go to call myself the master pizza maker.
My choice Sunday night was limited, though the pizza turned out perfect. The girls' half was filled with tomato sauce, two small sausages left over from the mountain grilling and alot of cheese. Mine and Terje's half was filled with anchovy, leek, lots of garlic, oive oil and cheese.
How do you make your pizzas?
What is the best pizza you have tasted?
What about the worst?
The most excotic?
A favorite pizza story?
I look forward to read your comments.
